Starting 5 years ago, MPAI was focused on helping the Crosby Center in Belfast to get up and running as a performing arts venue. We produced and assisted with the production s of some wonderful works of performance arts, music, theater, dance, and more, streching over two busy years. Then, as we all know, Covid came and shut us all down. Now, over 3 years later, The Crosby Center has moved on to other activities and we will shift our focus back to the effort to acquire and restore the Belfast Opera House, in the Hayford Block Building, at the corner of Main & Church Streets. We invite you to join us as we chart a course for future projects, the first being recruiting and reforming our Board of Directors. If you feel motivated to join in our mission to create opportunities for performing artists in Maine's unique culture and economy, raise your cyber-hand and we will organize a meeting in the near future. Skills in organizing, publicizing, legalizing, fraternizing, fund-raising and more are most welcome!🎼🎭🩰

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Board Governance: Works with board in order to fulfill the organization's mission. Responsible for leading Mid Coast Performing Arts Initiative (MCPAI) in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors.

2) Financial Performance and Viability: Develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization.Responsible for fundraising and developing other resources necessary to support MCPAI mission.

3) Organization Mission and Strategy: Works with board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach.

4) Organization Operations. Oversees and implements appropriate resources to ensure that the operations of the organization are appropriate.
