Studies have shown that cows with names give more milk than cows who are treated as numbers. Our Shanti Cow dried up after giving milk for 8 years straight from birthing one calf. She was allowed to keep her ‘babies’ (pictured behind). Someone should study how normal love and affects cows milk production!

No day at the Goshala looks like the day before. The ever-changing sky reflects just how different one day's work can be from another. With so much to get done and so little time we look forward to hosting volunteers and sharing this unique opportunity to practice compassionate animal care. In the meantime enjoy these picture of our diverse sky and landscape. There’s so much beauty in our own backyard!
