TO THE BELDING COMMUNITY…

It’s time to host our third blood drive of the year here at BHS. We take pride in being able to save lives within west Michigan through our community’s love and generosity, so we’d love to see some more of you participate!

Any adults from the community who’d like to donate can simply report to the main office where a student will guide them to the donation site. Remember to hydrate and bring your driver’s license. We take walk-ins!

As for students, you know the drill! If you’re sixteen, you need a parent permission form (from the office) signed and presented at check-in. You also need some form of identification like a student ID or driver’s license. Please remember to hydrate and eat well before your appointment. Wait in your class until a student council member comes to collect you!

There will be, as always, a plethora of food and drinks for those who donate and even some prizes for donating students!

Remember, every donation saved up to three lives! We need your help to save as many as possible 🩸💪🏻

Attention BHS students!

We are offering our services to send a special gift to your special someone! Buy either a dr. Pepper or a crush from our booth at lunch, write down a note and who it’s going to, and we’ll hand deliver it on Valentine’s Day morning this week.

Our booth will be open from Monday to Thursday at lunch and each pop costs only one dollar. Thanks for your love and support to student council! ❤️

ATTENTION BHS STUDENTS AND BELDING COMMUNITY:

On behalf of our friends in the BHS National Honors Society, we're posting their Toys For Tots poster on here to spread the word.

Students can participate by dropping off new, unopened toys to their second hour classes. Any toy will be used and loved, but toys that fit each day's theme will be worth double points! The winning class's teacher will have the chance to pie either Mr. Ostrander or Mr. Underhill in the face, and the students will be entered to win gift cards or cookies.

We encourage anyone who can to donate, even those in the community without BHS students. Please drop off any toys to the main office.

Please donate and help us make some kids' Christmas a little bit more magical with the Belding spirit of giving. 🎅❄️⛄️

Hello parents and students! We have an important announcement (please read until the end!): We have partnered with our very own Collective Impact club at BHS to put on a canned food drive! We will be collecting the following items for Collective Impact to distribute within our local community:

Monday- Boxed foods
Tuesday- Canned fruit
Wednesday- Canned greens
Thursday- Canned corn
Friday- Canned soup

This canned food drive will happen the week before Thanksgiving (the week of 11/18). Students can bring their items to their first hour class where there will be a tally every day to determine which class had the most items collected! The winning class of each day will receive a sweet treat the next morning. The overall winner of the week will be awarded a pizza party!

Parents, please encourage your child to participate! If any community members without BHS students would like to contribute, we'd be more than happy to accept your donations within the main office. Thank you for helping us to feed those in need within our community this holiday season. No one cares more than Belding! 🍂🥫🧡
