Our mowing contractor, Scott Litchfield, will be out on our trail system the rest of this week, beginning today (Wednesday), to cut the grass on the trail shoulders. Please give Scott and his tractor plenty of room and pass when he indicates that it is safe to do so. Thanks to Scott for helping keep our trail in excellent condition!

On Wednesday, May 27th, weather permitting, a contractor will be making the first application of herbicide for w**d control this year. You may wish to avoid the trail for a short time if you are sensitive to this process. This covers the section of trail between Saranac and Ionia.

~~~~~~~~~~SPRING CLEAN UP DAY!~~~~~~~~~~
Looking for a great way to introduce your kids to the spirit of volunteering? Or need to complete required service hours? Maybe you just need a good excuse for getting out on the trail!
Whatever your reason, you are invited to join us this Saturday, April 25 for our annual Spring Clean Up day! In addition to picking up trash and branches, volunteers will be sweeping gravel and debris from the crossing pads at the street and road ends and the concrete and/or wooden pads under the benches.
If this sounds like your cup of tea, contact our trail manager, Barry Culham, by emailing him at [email protected]. Barry will be coordinating all the volunteer activities along the entire 42 miles of trail, so make sure to let him know which area(s) you would like to work (ie, between Ovid and St. Johns, etc.) and your preferred method of contact.
Thank you for volunteering!
