and last but definitely not least… he’s been on the roster for months now but still our newest addition this year… closing our main stage on night 2… we all love…

RICK PRESTON
(Glasgow Underground, Worship, Viva!)

As a promoter, producer, and DJ, Rick Preston has been instrumental in helping build and sustain the house music scene in the SF Bay Area since the 90’s. (Rumors have neither been confirmed, nor denied, that he has found the secret elixir for endless energy and youthful looks… but experts are still looking.)

While (Uncle) Rick’s DJ sets are predominantly known to be deep and funky, he specializes in creating a sonic journey - bringing together a multitude of genres which include soulful vocals, disco, tribal rhythms, tech/acid/classic house, or even a mind awakening spoken word track. Whether you’re catching Rick at an outdoor daytime party or in a dark underground venue, trust he will craft a vibe to fit the environment perfectly.

As a house music producer, Preston's motto of “quality not quantity” has landed him on notable labels such as Glasgow Underground (home to Mateo & Matos), Romanthony, and Neon Heights. He also has releases on Viva! Recordings, Worship Recordings, Guesthouse, AfterHours, Eight-Tracks, Kolour Recordings, Amfibius Recordings, Character Recordings, Freeze Records, Big Big Trax, and BCE.

Rick has also developed remixes for Nervous Records, Amenti Music, Selekta Recordings, Limestone Recordings, Motion Music, Housetown Records, Coastline Recordings, Blue Iguana, Bananza Recordings, and Mimosa Recordings.

BACK STORY: Rick started off his career playing disco and funk in the early 80's, leveraging that experience in the booming alternative scene to hone his DJing skills for live performances. Rick became a part of various nighttime gatherings in bars and clubs, headlining with swooning tunes and industrial beats. As the music scene morphed and progressed, so would his attraction and undeniable draw to what would lead to an even bigger movement - House Music.

In the early 90's, alongside his frequent DJ gigs, Rick became involved with promotion of the house music scene. Rick fostered local club nights and raves in their beginning stages, when the underground was at its strongest. Fast forward to today, Rick is still championing this rich culture of house music and supporting and investing in the next generation to keep the movement going.

Soul Campers! ✌️❤️ Quick heads up: WE WILL be selling a limited number of tickets at the gate!!

For those super last-minute peeps, if you can get there by 10:00 PM on Friday, 6/19, we can guarantee entry. After that, admission may still be possible, but it will depend on the situation. Parking availability is our main concern, and we don't want to have to turn anyone away.

We will also be selling Early Arrival/Late Departure passes at the gate for those who decide to arrive early. 🙂

DJ MINX
(Women On Wax - Detroit)

A longtime fixture of Detroit's club scene, DJ Minx is often referred to as the First Lady of Wax. Her sets and productions range from deep and minimal to boisterous and funky, earning her enduring respect across the global house and techno community. Active since the early 1990s, she formed the Women on Wax collective and launched its label in 2001, amplifying the voices of Detroit’s female DJs and producers. Minx scored an underground hit with the 2003 minimal house track “A Walk in the Park”—later reissued on Richie Hawtin’s M_nus imprint—and has continued to release music that bridges Detroit’s rich history with forward-thinking club culture.

Throughout her career, Minx has played pivotal roles in Detroit’s musical story: hosting Deep Space Radio on WGPR, broadcasting Steamy Windows on CJAM, holding residencies at Club Motor, and performing at every edition of the Detroit Electronic Music Festival / Movement since its inception in 2000. Her contributions were formally recognized with the Spirit of Detroit Award in 2018, and she has been honored by Mixmag and Time Out as one of the women who shaped dance music history and among the top house DJs of all time.

Since 2021, Minx has embraced her voice as a proud advocate for the Black q***r community. She released Purse First to benefit Detroit’s Ruth Ellis Center, where she was also immortalized in a mural celebrating LGBTQ+ leaders. Her EP Queendom on HE.SHE.THEY. and her BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix debut in 2022 cemented her global presence. Do It All Night (Planet E) showcased remixes from Carl Craig and Honey Dijon, further elevating her reach.

In 2025, Minx continues to thrive as one of Detroit’s most important cultural ambassadors. She released “Blocked” on Rules Don’t Apply in February—a sharp, self-empowering anthem—and collaborated with Kevin and Dantiez Saunderson as e-Dancer on “Detroit”, an intergenerational tribute to her city’s techno legacy. She also lit up her hometown with a halftime performance for the Detroit Pistons in March 2025. International bookings remain strong, with headline festival slots and curated stages at Movement and beyond.

From her roots in Detroit’s underground to her present role as a global cultural force, DJ Minx stands as a living legend: bold, soulful, and uncompromising, still shaping the future of dance music more than three decades in.

We'll provide an update on Wednesday regarding whether General Admission tickets and parking passes will be available for purchase at the gate.

Please Note:
• Every vehicle requires a parking pass. Parking passes are limited, and if they sell out, we will be considered sold out for the event as well.
• Anyone arriving on Thursday or departing on Monday will need an Early Arrival/Late Departure pass. These passes are also limited.

🌲 Soul Camp Family! ✌️❤️ Please take a moment to read these important event rules, regulations, and updates before arriving this weekend.

Arrival Times

Thursday (Early Arrival Pass Required)
• Do not arrive before 2:00 PM
• Do not arrive after 10:00 PM

Friday
• Do not arrive before 12:00 PM
• Do not arrive after 12:00 AM

⚠️ The gate will be closed outside of these hours.

Departure Times

• Without an Early/Late Pass, all guests must exit the event by 6:00 PM on Sunday.
• With an Early/Late Pass, all rooms and campsites must be vacated by 12:00 PM on Monday.

Waivers

Everyone must sign a waiver to enter the event. If you purchased through TicketSpice, the waiver was sent to you. Anyone who did not purchase directly through TicketSpice will need to sign one at the gate.

Parking Passes

🚗 Every vehicle requires a parking pass.

Parking is limited, and we're encouraging carpooling so we can keep all vehicles onsite and avoid shuttling.

RVs do not need an additional parking pass, as parking is included with their RV space. However, any persons in the RV will require separate event admission tickets.

🍴 Food Vendor Update

Unfortunately, our original food vendor, The Sultry Squirrel, is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.

We're excited to welcome SERRANOS, a Mexican food truck serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the weekend.

The Belden restaurant and store will also be open.

📶 Wi-Fi Upgrade

We've upgraded our Wi-Fi system with a new provider! It can now handle more users at high speeds and cover more space.⚡️

Coverage now includes:
• All stages
• Most cabins
• Front gate
• RV area
• Vendor locations
• Much of the lodge area

Internet will now be available 24/7 throughout the event.

Day passes and full-weekend passes will be available for a fee.
