💙 A HUGE THANK YOU to Deloitte and their incredible team of volunteers for supporting the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge during their 2026 Impact Day!
We were honored to welcome both returning volunteers and new faces who generously donated their time, energy, and talents to help improve our center and grounds.
Together, they accomplished an amazing amount in just one day:
✅ Removed remaining portions of two large downed trees
✅ Beautified the grounds and cleared debris
✅ Set up summer camp canopies
✅ Cleaned picnic tables and outdoor learning materials
✅ Filled and repaired hazardous holes throughout the property
✅ Refreshed flower beds and installed fresh mulch
✅ Painted interior walls
✅ Installed retractable doorstops
✅ Set up tablets for Wi-Fi and educational applications
✅ Assembled cubbies and a new lab table
✅ Organized storage areas and relocated materials
Their efforts have made our facility safer, more welcoming, and better prepared to serve the children and families of our community.
What means the most is that Deloitte’s team took the time to learn about our mission and the importance of expanding STEM education while helping inspire the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders.
