We started off this morning hot on the Tennessee opener. We were able to successfully fill 5 tags with 5 vets this morning in Bedford county.

Our first turkey slam hunt for 2026 is in the books. Veteran was selected to go hunt at Ted Nugent’s ranch in Texas. The hunt was a massive success. The veteran was even able to have Uncle Ted sign our MSA Turkey Slam shirt.

Currently fundraising to send vets on turkey hunts this spring. Huge thank you to Fox Trot Ammo for donating this 2020 Matt Van Cise box call. Would like to do a waffle on this one.. box call is Dymondwood over sugar maple and boy let me tell ya it’s a fine sounding box call.instead of setting a number of spots just drop a comment at how many times you want in at $5 a chance. For example Joe Smith 5 chances. will randomly draw using a random number generator entry chance will end Friday March 13th. Help us get vets turkey hunting this spring.

We have decided to auction our 2025 Traveling turkey call. If you didn’t witness it our call traveled across multiple states assisting veterans in harvesting their birds last spring. What we have up for auction is a 1/1 Class calls box call made by van cise. This call has every veterans signature that participated in last years traveling call. We will start the silent auction at $100. Please keep it in $1 increments. IE no cents. The winner of the silent auction will be announced March 5th and mailed out that day.

Our SC chapter is firing on all cylinders. This weekend we had a vet harvest and nice buck 2 does and a spike. Brings the SC chapter to 7 deer killed in the last 3 weeks of hunting. Congrats sc chapter keep up the good work.

2025 MSA deer camp is a wrap. We camped
Out in wartrace this year and the vets got to hunt some really nice private land for Saturday and Sunday. Overall we finished 4 deer down 2 deer missed. Been a great weekend of fellowship and we look forward to 2026.

Opening day of juvenile was a success. A veteran and their two children were selected for a 1 day hunt out of Manchester, Tn. Huge thank you to the volunteer for putting on such an incredible hunt that these two kids will never forget.

Myself a the Tennessee chapter captain Robert parks decided to take a quick weekend getaway to the great state of South Carolina and check in on our SC chapter captain James Webb. Deer movement was minimal but these 3 stepped out and that in itself is a successful hunt in my book. Can’t wait to see the vets behind us have even more success. The hospitality in the sc chapter is amazing. Huge thank you to James Webb for making this state chapter so successful
