The ISWA is celebrating 40 years of providing excellent service and support to the state of Indiana's wrestling community in partnership with the nationally governing body of wrestling USA Wrestling. We support athletes, coaches, officials and clubs with resources and education on the latest advances in the sport of wrestling in Folkstyle, Freestyle & Greco-Roman development. ety and liability coverage for its members thru USAW affiliate, it provides clinics around the state of Indiana educating wrestlers and coaches. A cultural exchange program is offered to members along with scholarship opportunities. Indiana hosts a reputable national event in partnership with USAW in Indianapolis with the Schoolboy Dual's event every June. The ISWA hosts 4 state events including Elementary Dual's in December, Folkstyle State Finals in March, Freestyle-Greco State Finals in May. A publication is distributed to all members with valuable information about Indiana wrestling and its members. Triple Crown winners along with other award recipients are acknowledged annually for their hard work and dedication to the sport. Awards such as club of the year, coach of the year, volunteer of the year, official/referee of the year are recognized for their outstanding efforts that make Indiana proud to be a wrestling state where individually can grow in a healthy and safe environment. Background checks are required to help protect our youth. Coaches certification courses are offered with education on latest advances in the sport and athlete safety with officials clinics hosted annually. Lastly the ISWA keeps members in the know by providing the latest news with Indiana wrestling and abroad with newsletters, meeting mailings and trending social media locations. The state organization is over 8,300 members strong with 195 clubs.
