AEKF had the incredible opportunity to travel to Indiana and visit A Rosie Place for Children - O'Hana Heritage Foundation for Children, Indiana’s first and only specialty hospital dedicated exclusively to serving medically fragile children and their families. For more than a decade, they have provided skilled respite care in a warm, home-like environment, giving families a place to rest, recharge, and feel supported.

This visit was especially meaningful as we continue working toward making Abbey House a reality. Seeing a place built specifically for medically fragile children and their families gave us a firsthand look at the life-changing impact a resource like this can have. We left with new ideas, valuable insight, and even more excitement for what Abbey House can become for families here in Texas. A huge thank you to CEO Tieal Bishop and her team at A Rosie Place for welcoming us so warmly and sharing the incredible work you do!

A huge thank you to Kendall Sharp, Administrator of Dell Children's Comprehensive Care Clinic and a valued member of the AEKF Advisory Committee, for graciously facilitating a private tour of the clinic for our Ambassadors!

The Dell Children's Medical Center Comprehensive Care Clinic provides coordinated, multidisciplinary care for children with complex and chronic medical needs, helping families navigate treatment while ensuring patients receive the specialized support they deserve.

Our Ambassadors were honored to learn more about the incredible work being done every day to improve the lives of medically fragile children and their families. Thank you Kendall for sharing your time, expertise, and passion with us. 🦋
