Daniel Reider's Funeral will be held in the chapel of the Madisonville Funeral Home on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10 A.M. followed by burial in the Pankey Cemetery.
Afterwards there is a potluck meal at the Bedias Civic Center.
Visitation will take place the evening before on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the funeral home from 5 P.M. till 7 P.M.

Brazos Hunger Solutions will host a hunger-free community summit, Stronger Together: Collective Action for Food Insecurity.
Date: September 22nd
Place: Brazos Center
Time: 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
The purpose of this free summit is to bring together the community to identify priorities for a strategic plan, establish action teams, and lay a foundation for future mutually reinforcing activities for systemic change to end hunger in Brazos County. The Community Garden is still going, in spite of the heat... Most days right now it's a tiny harvest, but today was good! I gave away all of our produce at the Bedias Library this afternoon.

Today at the Bedias Library I have Beans, Tomatoes, Okra, Cucumber, & Spaghetti Squash to give away. I'll be here until 5pm.

We had a very pleasant and productive workday today! As we harvest what we produce, we will give it away to families in the Bedias/ Iola/Grimes County community. We are currently picking Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Cucumbers, Yard Long Beans, and Bell Peppers. Very soon we will have Radishes, a few Beets, Cantaloupe, Okra, Tomatoes, and Armenian Cucumbers. We have Corn, Spaghetti Squash, and Black Eye Peas growing, but those will take longer. And the sweet potatoes won't be really ready until fall.
