Aero Club of New England The Aero Club of New England (ACONE) Is About Safety And Tradition. Supporting The Future Of Aviation Through Scholarships. Advancing Aviation Since 1902.

The Aero Club of New England (ACONE) is first and foremost a social club for people that share a passion for flight; for active pilots, former pilots, and non-pilots alike who love to learn about flying, love to talk about flying, and love to promote flying. Our ranks range from the obscure to the legendary, yet all members contribute to a progressive and vibrant climate that inspires the special joie de vivre that only flying can bring. Past members have made significant contributions to aviation and are considered New England's Aviation Legends. Driven by our members' wide and varied interests, ACONE hosts many social events throughout the year; co-produces safety seminars with the FAA and the AOPA Air Safety Foundation; manages and awards over a dozen educational scholarships for pilots and aviation technicians; and advocates with federal, state, and local regulators for the advancement of flight.

The Aero Club of New England invites you to the 2026 Reese Dill Aviation Safety Lectureship, featuring distinguished naval aviator and aviation leader Capt. Kent “Eagle” Ewing, USN (Ret.)!

With 28 years of service in the U.S. Navy, Captain Ewing commanded the aircraft carrier USS America during Operation Desert Storm. A naval test pilot with more than 18,500 flight hours across over 100 aircraft types, he brings an extraordinary depth of experience in military and civilian aviation.

Join us for an evening exploring aviation safety, operational excellence, and lessons drawn from a remarkable aviation career.
