The Lawrence County Museum enjoyed tremendous participation and success during the Limestone Heritage Festival.

Beloved Times-Mail writer Roger Moon was on hand to meet visitors, sign books, and sell copies of his newest publication, Newsmakers 250: 1776–2026 of Lawrence and Orange Counties. Festival attendees appreciated the opportunity to visit with Roger and learn more about the people who helped shape our region’s history.

Museum board and staff member Jeff Routh hosted the Limestone Heritage Festival Photo Contest in the museum meeting room. The exhibit featured outstanding entries highlighting limestone in architecture, nature, and everyday life, showcasing the beauty and significance of Lawrence County’s most famous natural resource.

To celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, Museum Curator Marla Jones led a patriotic eagle craft activity that welcomed guests of all ages. Participants enjoyed creating their own symbolic keepsakes while learning about the nation’s upcoming semiquincentennial celebration.

The museum was delighted by the enthusiastic response from visitors throughout the festival and extends its sincere thanks to everyone who attended, participated, and helped make the event such a success.
