This week, our Paramedics had the opportunity to take Boston MedFlight's Difficult Airway Course. This course provides advanced, hands-on education focused on the assessment and management of challenging airways in the prehospital and critical care environment. Participants review airway anatomy, patient assessment, advanced airway techniques, difficult airway algorithms, and the use of specialized airway equipment through a combination of didactic instruction and practical simulation. The course emphasizes clinical decision-making, preparation, teamwork, and maintaining oxygenation when conventional airway management is unsuccessful.
