✅ Assistance for Necessities
Receive up to $350 for essential needs not covered by insurance.

🦽 Assistive Equipment Assistance
Receive up to $500 toward assistive equipment that can help improve daily living and independence.

🔬 Clinical Trial Assistance Grant
Eligible participants may receive up to $1,000 to help offset costs associated with participating in the Neurologic Bone Marrow Derived Stem Cell Treatment Study for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD).

🧠 Pillar Patient Advocates is seeking 5 patients and/or caregivers to participate in a 60-minute phone/web interview to discuss medication choices for PSP and reactions to a hypothetical new treatment option.

💵 Participants will receive $125 in appreciation for their time and insights.

🧠💙 CORTICOBASAL DEGENERATION (CBD/CBS/CBGD) 💙🧠
The Neurodegenerative Disorder

Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD/CBS/CBGD) is a rare progressive neurological disease that causes degeneration and cell death in areas of the brain including the cerebral cortex and basal ganglia. Individuals with CBD may become severely impaired within 3–5 years after symptoms begin.

📌 Typically affects adults age 40+
📌 A person may NOT exhibit all symptoms
📌 Any of these symptoms may warrant a neurological consultation

👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️ Medical Professionals:
Misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis remain far too common, leaving patients and families with limited time to plan for the future and participate in research.

💡 Early recognition matters!
Know the signs and refer patients RIGHT AWAY to a neurologist for further testing.

🩺 Neurological Tip:
Always provide a quick and easy diagnostic positions test (six cardinal positions of gaze).

*Diagnosis should only be made by an expert in neurological disorders and diseases.*
