We are excited about this season's speaker line up. The schedule for the 2021-2022 season is post on our website BCAphoto.org. We will be delivering programming via Zoom until further notice so if you live far, consider joining to get access to our gifted speakers. Happy New Year everyone! Just a heads up. Bad news: Christa Dix had to cancel her presentation to our Group on January 12th. Good news: Stephen Tourlentes will present instead. Info about Stephen can be found here: https://massart.edu/faculty/stephen-tourlentes. The title of his talk will be: The American Landscape in the Age of Mass Incarceration. On Tuesday, October 27, the BCA Photo Group presents Jodi Hilton, speaking on “Giving Voice to the Disempowered: Using Photography and Storytelling to Empower Migrants, Minorities and Marginalized People.”

Hilton is a freelance journalist and documentary photographer who has recently returned to Boston after spending the last decade working in Southeast Europe, Turkey and the Middle East. Her work is focused on social and humanitarian issues. She is a co-founder of The Children’s Photo Workshop and team leader for Instagram (part of The Everyday Projects) and founder of The Balkan Press Club. She has been published in the Washington Post, New York Times, National Geographic, Der Spiegel and Le Monde, among others (www.jodihilton.com). (H. Long, Co-Administrator)
