As another week comes to a close, I’m reminded that ministry doesn’t always happen from a pulpit. Sometimes it happens in an office, on a patrol ride, at a hospital bedside, over a cup of coffee, or simply by being present when someone needs to know they aren’t alone.

As many begin their weekend, countless first responders will continue answering calls, working long shifts, and serving our communities. Please keep them and their families in your prayers.

Whether your week has been full of victories or challenges, remember that God has been faithful through every moment.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Deuteronomy 31:8

Covered Chaplaincy joins our brothers and sisters at the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office as they grieve the loss of one of their own.

Please join us in praying for the deputy’s family, the injured deputy, and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office during this difficult time.

We also stand with the Carroll County community in prayer, asking for comfort, peace, and strength for all those affected by this tragic loss.

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office stands in solidarity with our brothers and sisters at the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office as they face an unimaginable loss.

We are heartbroken by the tragic shooting that claimed the life of one Carroll County deputy and injured another. Our thoughts and prayers are with the fallen deputy’s family, friends, and fellow deputies, as well as the injured deputy, their loved ones, and all those affected by this senseless act of violence.

We also ask for prayers and support for the law enforcement officers who are working tirelessly and courageously to locate and apprehend the individual responsible for this heinous act. These men and women continue to put themselves in harm’s way to protect our communities and seek justice for both their fallen and injured brothers.

Today, we mourn alongside the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and honor the ultimate sacrifice made in service to the community. We ask our community to join us in keeping the families, deputies, and entire Carroll County law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

The law enforcement community is a family, and when one agency hurts, we all hurt. We stand with Carroll County today and in the days ahead.
