Our Hours for food pantry distributions are:
The Friday after the second Monday of the month from 9 AM - 12 noon.

This month's distribution is on Friday, June 19th from 9 AM until 12 noon.

If you are signing up, you must live in the Bedford school district (except for those living in Buffalo Mills South through Hyndman. Those families must attend the Hyndman food pantry), you must KNOW your entire household income in order to qualify. You will need your photo ID and you will need to list all members of your household along with their date of birth. Please bring a box or laundry basket to put your food in. We have people in the parking lot that can help put that container in your car for you. If you do not live in the Bedford school district, you need to call the center for community action at 814-623-9129 ext 9 and they will direct you to which Pantry you would go to.

PLEASE NOTE: DISTRIBUTION IS ON THE THIRD FRIDAY OF THE MONTH.

We will also continue to have a make up day the following Monday in case you miss Friday's distribution.

We try to do as much as we can to help our clients but we do not offer delivery service. We realize that sometimes our clients cannot get to the Pantry to pick up their food on the distribution day or the following make up Monday so we do allow you to have somebody else come in and pick up your food for you. We are an all volunteer group. Thank you for understanding.

Today I will be saying a final goodbye to a lady who has been very instrumental to the Food Pantry for years. She used to sit at the sign in desk greeting our clients with a smile. She served as an officer on the Board of Directors in the position of treasurer. March 27 the Lord took her home to be reunited once again with her husband Roy of whom she was married to for 66 years as well as other beloved family members who were waiting for her. Marlene Sease, you will be missed.

"If you are coming in as an alternate/proxy to pick up food for a client please make sure that those clients are available by phone for verification."

Please use this chart concerning food storage and safety. For example, ground meat lasts 1 to 2 days after date but will last 3 to 4 months in the freezer. We have a copy of this posted at the pantry.

The weather forecast is for snow tonight. We have made arrangements to have the parking lot plowed. We are planning on our Monday make-up day from 830 until 10. If this changes we will post it here on our page. Thank you and everyone stay safe.
