Today, our children under the Vulnerable Scholarship Program are returning to school equipped with scholastic materials through the Asome Bags of Hope Initiative.

At Kitibwa, we remain committed to supporting vulnerable children to stay in school because education changes lives, strengthens families, and breaks cycles of multidimensional poverty.

Girls belong in School everyday of the month.❤️

Kitibwa Restoring Hope Foundation is donating reusable sanitary towels to girls from vulnerable families.

Inside our Dignity kit, we hav 4 reusable sanitary towels, a knicker and 2 small sanitary bags for each girl.

Join us on the Asome Bags of Hope and reusable pads campaign to support vulnerable mothers to keep girls in school.

In some of our communities, we discovered that girls use wrapped clothes to manage their periods.

They wrap these clothes because their mothers cannot afford proper sanitary towels.

Eunice (not real name) shared that she must dig for a whole day just to earn 5,000 UGX for a single pack.

School going girls from vulnerable households we have come across can miss up to 50 days of school a year just because of their periods.

These amazing girls lack access to sanitary products, and stay at home to avoid embarrassment, losing two months of learning every year.
