Today, we join the world in commemorating International Menstrual Hygiene Day.

At Kitibwa Restoring Hope Foundation, we believe girls have the power to change the world. Ensuring that girls from vulnerable communities have access to sanitary products to support them during their periods and help keep them in school, where they belong.

Every girl, everywhere, deserves to feel comfortable, confident, and dignified during her period.

Meet Clayton.

He is returning to class fully equipped to continue his learning with confidence. Clayton dreams of becoming a doctor after his studies, and your generosity is helping make that dream possible.

This is how lives are transformed and hope is restored, by giving children the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream of a better future.

Through our Asome Bags of Hope Initiative, one filled backpack means relief for a mother and hope that her child will have a brighter future.

Thank you for supporting education and standing with us to restore hope.

In some of our communities, we discovered that girls use wrapped clothes to manage their periods.

They wrap these clothes because their mothers cannot afford proper sanitary towels.

Eunice (not real name) shared that she must dig for a whole day just to earn 5,000 UGX for a single pack.

Join us as we support a mother empower a daughter.

School going girls from vulnerable households we have come across can miss up to 50 days of school a year just because of their periods.

These amazing girls lack access to sanitary products, and stay at home to avoid embarrassment, losing two months of learning every year.

Join us as we strive to end period poverty and keep girls in school.
