With a heavy heart, I share that my beloved niece/daughter from another mother succumbed to the illness that dogged her throughout her life.
In a broken mental health system, the resources are unavailable to support someone like her, with serious brain disease and a dual diagnosis. The pain, the struggle, it all became too much for her. She told me that the never-ending triggers were overwhelming. She was SO tired.
She is at rest and peace now.
There are no words.
