Sidewalk Angels Foundation is dedicated to providing critically needed funds and support to over 20 no-kill animal shelters and animal rescues, across the country, that help to fight for the rights and fair treatment of those with no voice. Organizations doing amazing work, that desperately need our help to continue with animal rescues, adoptions, building proper shelter facilities, getting proper

medical care, low cost spay and neuter programs, helping to teach childrenkindness and compassion through animals, and advocacy programs such as fighting against cruelty and working to fight against breed discrimination. The foundation also works with homeless shelters that provide for the displaced by meeting thephysical needs of people and their pets in crisis; so that families in need are not forced to give up their pets. In past years, they’ve helped rescues with no physical structure other than some fencing and sheds, and no real funding, to build proper facilities with indoor and outdoor kennels. They were also able to help organizations across the United States with big cross-country rescues and large medical expenses incurred during these rescues. Sidewalk Angels is also committed to helping organizations dedicated to increasing public awareness through educational programs that focus on the frequency of violent crimes against animals, and the correlation between animal abuse and violent behavior towards people. The hope is for Sidewalk Angels to continue to grow so that they will be able to help twice as many animal organizations across the US in the coming years, while continuing to make real change in helping those who have no voice.

Our hearts are full! We are humbled by the ongoing compassion shown to Dolly’s Legacy Animal Rescue through a deeply generous contribution from the Sidewalk Angels Foundation. Every day, we open our doors to homeless and forgotten pets, and support like this ensures we can keep giving them the second chances they deserve.

Rob & Marisol Thomas along with mom, Maria, are true champions for animals in need. Their fierce commitment to lifting up vulnerable pets brings light and hope to the entire rescue community.

Thank you Sir!

A terrified Labrador named Hugo was thrown from a city wall in Canterbury, England leaving him injured and in desperate need of help. But after one kind stranger came to his aid, an extraordinary act of generosity helped give him a second chance. ❤️

Hugo was discovered hurt and alone after a witness saw him being thrown from the wall. The Good Samaritan took him home and desperately sought help, eventually turning to Flori’s Friends Rescue when she struggled to find anyone who could assist. Flori's Friends wrote: "She took him home and begged everyone for help and sadly not a single person / vet would help her."

The rescue quickly realized Hugo needed urgent veterinary care and the cost would be high. Fortune smiled however when they received a large donation that would help Hugo heal. Thanks to a £100,000 donation from comedian Ricky Gervais, the animal charity was able to provide the surgery and treatment he desperately needed.

The cost of Hugo’s care came to around £5,000, but his was just one of many lives already transformed by Gervais’ incredible donation. The funding has also helped three dogs receive stem cell transplants, allowed a previously paralyzed Yorkie named Georgie to receive specialist treatment and make a full recovery, and provided custom-made wheels for two paralyzed dogs.

The donation has also helped treat animals facing serious medical problems, including Tina, an abused cat who was suffering from toxoplasmosis, and Tony, a cat who needed treatment for multiple infections, dental problems and spinal issues.

Flori’s Friends Rescue said the support had made a “real and lasting difference,” stressing that every act of generosity—from major donations to someone giving £5—helps rescue groups save lives.

And for Hugo, that support meant getting the surgery he needed after a horrifying ordeal. Despite being in pain, the rescue described him as a gentle, friendly and calm dog.

One generous donation has already helped transform countless lives—and Hugo is one more reminder of just how much a second chance can mean. ❤️🐾

Happy Tails — Zeus is recovering nicely after emergency surgery Friday to remove two ingested toys that had caused life-threatening blockages ❤️‍🩹Zeus’ owner is a senior citizen who could not afford this costly surgery on her own and was facing the heartbreaking choice of euthanizing Zeus or letting him suffer. With most of our emergency veterinary funds already committed to other upcoming surgeries and the challenge of a holiday weekend, we were very concerned about raising the thousands of dollars needed to get Zeus his surgery in time. Our amazing friends at Sidewalk Angels Foundation stepped up immediately upon hearing Zeus’ story and allowed us to get Zeus into surgery right away 🥹💜 After an additional night in the hospital for monitoring, Zeus was discharged over the weekend and is recovering comfortably at home and we will remain engaged in his follow- up care. His owner is overjoyed by the support that saved her sweet boy’s life during a difficult time. HUGE thank you to Marisol and Rob Thomas and Maria Maldonado of Sidewalk Angels Foundation — and to everyone who has cared about Zeus’ journey! Zeus would not be here today without you! 🙌
