On June 22, 2016, David Fann left his home in Amigo around 9 AM to run errands in Beckley. What should have been an ordinary day ended in tragedy.

At approximately 4 PM, two joggers discovered David’s body along a trail at Lake Stephens in Surveyor. He had been stabbed multiple times. Nearly seven years later, his family and investigators are still searching for answers.

David was born November 1, 1940, in Covel to the late Stokley Estel Fann and Beulah Blance Hylton-Fann-Bolton. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of Bluefield State College, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. Over the years, he built a life as an entrepreneur, managing rental properties and restaurants. In the 1980s, he even operated a mobile diner that offered food and arcade games. By 2016, he had retired but still maintained a few rental properties.

That morning, David reportedly drove to Beckley to buy a hedge trimmer from Harbor Freight. He stopped for breakfast at Tudor’s Biscuit World - Harper Road, then continued his errands, including a visit to Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. Surveillance footage captured him leaving Ollie’s, and everything appeared normal. Investigators believe he finished his errands around 12:30 PM. What happened after that remains unknown.

Roughly three and a half hours later, joggers found him unresponsive on a trail. At first, they believed he might be unconscious and contacted park maintenance. When workers arrived, they realized David had died and immediately called 911. Deputies with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.

David’s family has lived with unimaginable loss and unanswered questions ever since. Someone out there may know something that could help bring justice and closure.

If you have any information about David Fann’s 2016 murder, please contact the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department at (304) 255-9300 or reach out to Crime Stoppers of West Virginia at (304) 255-STOP (7867).

Please share. Someone knows something.

Congratulations!

There is movement in the case of the Angela Cherice Gwinn-Stephens disappearance. A heavy West Virginia State Police presence has been at a specific location of interest all day. It appears to be the investigation team, as one vehicle is the Crime Scene Response Team van.

This is why I have asked you for ‘hope’ earlier. You need to still hold onto that hope. And there have been no reports of any findings, and there’s no reason to believe they have found anything. It has been confirmed this is over Angela Cherice Gwinn-Stephens. I verified this with multiple sources.

Let me say this first off. Angela Cherice Gwinn-Stephens has not been found, and there is no reason to believe they have found any evidence at all. It could have been many factors as to why they’re there. The only reason I’m releasing this is because of the records of this location that I have found after my source passed this information along, and that is why this is relative to Angela Cherice Gwinn-Stephens’ case. I also found two sources of case verification relative to this case and location. And I know so many folks out there have never forgotten her.

If you don’t remember, Angela Cherice Gwinn-Stephens went missing as of October 1st, 1993 and was last seen in Beckley, West Virginia. Mountain State Mysteries has covered this case in detail if you haven’t learned about this tragic happening yet. Check them out!

Here’s what we know:

-They have been actively working a location.
-I will not disclose this location, but I have vetted and verified it is very relative to the case. If you know the location, please keep information limited. We do not want to impede on the potential progress with this case.
-There have been no statements at all from the WVSP as to what they’re doing there.

I’m sharing this to show the dedication to this case, over 32 years later, is very much alive. I am hoping we hear updates soon. There are photos taken that I have obscured in this collage to protect the location and the team who’s working on it, but I want these folks to know we appreciate their efforts and I’m hoping we can finally find Angela Cherice Gwinn-Stephens soon. Keep hope alive. 🙏❤️
