4-H Volunteers mark your calendar, this is just for you! We have created an opportunity for you to network with other volunteers, build a tool box of skills to bring back to your county and be recognized for your dedication to the Oregon 4-H program! Join us for two full days of fun, hands on workshops in Redmond, OR.

It was a busy Friday last week for Washington County 4-H! We were invited to help partner with a Salsa Making workshop for teens at the Cornelius Public Library. We learned how to make three different types of salsa and how to start growing our own ingredients.

An early morning trip down to OSU to hear Dr. Temple Grandin speak. She is a fierce advocate for livestock and agriculture as well as showcasing your skills and taking notice of how you can make things better. Sounds a lot like our 4-H motto! We got there early and got a front row seat. I was super proud of our 4-H County Ambassador, Holly, getting up to ask the first question!

Such a great opportunity! We had 3 4-H volunteers and 6 4-H youth attend from our county. Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.
