Beaverton class of 2026 drum major and valedictorian Riley Cross performed at Midland High School this past Saturday for MSBOA State Solo & Ensemble. Upon finishing his trombone solo, Riley was then scored on the proficiency scales, as well as a sight reading performance. He did extremely well with a score of 91/100, earning him a rating of a one, or superior. We are very proud of Riley and everything he has accomplished!
Thank you again to Mrs. Kintner for accompanying Riley for his performance.

Yesterday, the high school band traveled to the University of Michigan- Flint to perform at MSBOA District IX Festival. The students gave it their all, and they sounded wonderful. They've shown so much improvement since last year Festival, and I could not be more proud of them, and Mr. Grifhorst.
We also wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to the families, friends, and community members who have supported the band through the recent fundraiser, as well as purchasing baked goods from our sale at the basketball game.❤️🦫🎵🎷

What a great opportunity to enjoy some talented musicians!

"The Mid-Michigan Brass Band and Pangbourne Brass Band (from England) will be presenting an evening of light brass music for the Beaverton community at Ross Lake Park on Wednesday, August 13th, at 7:30pm. The program includes a variety of genres and provides a nice mix between serious, traditional brass band literature and recognizable tunes. Grab a lawn chair and come on out to the park to enjoy a beautiful evening of lovely music for all in attendance.

*In case of rain, this performance will take place at the Beaverton Activity Center."
