Beaverton Downtown Association We are working to enhance our community identity & heritage, foster a center of activity & ensure economic stability for the heart of downtown Beaverton.

The Beaverton Downtown Association is a 501(c)3 organized into four volunteer committees:

Organization: Creates work plan and budget for BDA, recruits community members, coordinates the three other committees. Design: Focuses on the look and feel of downtown, including beautification, historical preservation, banners, clean-up projects, sidewalks, and landscaping. Promotions: Creates new promot

ional campaigns, works on community events, identifies and promotes downtown Beaverton’s assets. Economic Vitality: Identifies opportunities for downtown growth, develops financial incentives for new opportunities, and monitors economic progress. 🎒❤️ BEAVERTON, YOU SHOWED UP! ❤️🎒

We are still blown away by the turnout for De Regreso a Clases / Back to School!

We prepared supplies for 300 kids.

✨ 1,800 kids showed up. ✨

And somehow, our community came together and made it happen.

✂️ 60 free haircuts
🎨 200 faces painted
🎒 1,800 kids served with school supplies

We actually ran out of supplies just 45 minutes after opening, which meant our volunteers and downtown businesses immediately jumped into action and started making emergency supply runs all over town.

A HUGE thank you to Beaverton City Councilor Hartmeier-Prigg, who came to volunteer and ended up going to three different stores to buy more supplies for our kids. ❤️

Thank you to Olyvia Agard-Herboth and Max Burke who went out and bought every school supply they could get their hands on at two separate Fred Meyer locations!

And a huge thank you to our downtown businesses, including Lazy Days Brewing Co. , Holistic Health Clinic Beaverton, Raindrop Tap House and Tan Tan Cafe & Delicatessen, who had already supported our school supply drive and then stepped up AGAIN to make additional supply runs when we realized just how many families were coming.

Thank you to Lionheart Coffee Company, Michelle Bauer Photography LLC, ZiplyFiber, Sylvan Learning , Fly Chai , Beaverton Mayor Lacey Beaty, Beaverton City Library , Beaverton City Government, volunteers, Rachel Philip for Beaverton City Council, Telemundo Portland, individuals who showed up, donated supplies, worked booths, handed out backpacks, cut hair, painted faces, restocked tables, directed families, and did whatever needed to be done.

Yesterday was one of those days that showed exactly what can happen when a community pulls together. We weren't prepared for 1,800 kids, but we were determined that as many kids as possible would leave ready for school. 💛

Because of the incredible turnout, we purchased far more school supplies than we had budgeted for.

Meet Beverly the Beaver, the Beaverton Downtown Association’s newest downtown ambassador!

Beverly loves local businesses, good food, public art, community events, and discovering all the little things that make Downtown Beaverton special. You’ll start seeing her popping up around downtown, visiting businesses, attending events, meeting new friends, and getting into a little Beaver-ton mischief along the way. 🦫
