These are the people who bought our church camp. Just one of the fun things they do. So happy it worked out.

Bittersweet Days:

Easter 2022: Christ's Church of Beaverton began renting and caring for our camp property as though it was their own. An amazing partnership began. They fundraised and prayed. They are members of the community and have participated in the community in ways we never did.

May 13, 2024: This church that formed because of the dam failure + resulting flood signed a purchase agreement.

June 4, 2024: We have all been praying for this day. Today was the closing on the property and it now belongs to them. We were able to get the amount our congregation approved as promised upon our church closing.

We are very happy that God's work will continue there. The St John ELCA Legacy Foundation of Saginaw will use the money received to continue good work in Saginaw County.

Dams with normal (legal) lake levels that existed before 2020 with a lake level special assessment district are the best path forward.
