Due to COVID-19, the Miss America Scholarship Program has decided to postpone all 2020 local, state & national competitions until 2021. As grateful as I am to be provided a second year to serve and represent Washington County, I respectfully decline this extension.

I will always treasure everything this year had to offer and cannot wait to take the memories, people, experiences and lessons with me into the next chapter.

Make sure to check out my farewell video on IGTV✨

Signing off for the last time with so much love,

A little over a year ago I was blessed with an opportunity I never saw myself having. Winning Miss Washington County’s Outstanding Teen was a game changer for me, as it was my first step into the pageant world. I absolutely loved serving as a title holder and promoting my platform throughout my community. I am so grateful that I was able to compete at state as a top ten finalist and see how beneficial this program is for young women across the country. The people I’ve met and experiences I’ve made will stay with me forever. As an incoming senior I have many things ahead for the rest of my 2020 year, thus I’m respectfully declining a second term. I wanted to thank my lovely and dedicated pageant directors and .kshep as well as, my Miss . It is bitter sweet saying goodbye to such an amazing program, for now. However, I am thrilled for the future participants and title holders! Lastly, I wanted to give a big shoutout to my pageant mama thank you for diving into this experience with me it would’ve been impossible without you! I hope you all stay safe with your families and have a year of good health! Best wishes. Signing off...

Hey friends, it’s been on my heart to say a little something to you. As we all know, this time is chaotic, scary, hard and uncertain. Not only is there chaos in the world but there’s stress in our personal lives as well. Before this pandemic, many of you were signed up and preparing to compete in a local competition. As we all know, it takes sacrifice, dedication, grit, money and time to win a title.

With that being said, I just want to acknowledge you. To see you. To celebrate you. To validate you. To be with you in this.

You’ve had a dream on your heart and a goal in your mind. You’ve done everything you can to execute what you’ve prepared and now, you’re not even sure if and when you will get a chance to make that happen. And I’m so so sorry about that.

I just want to remind y’all that you can be aware, see the big picture, have consideration and compassion for the world all the while process what’s happening in your own life as well— whether it’s postponing a wedding, not getting a proper graduation, being laid off or not getting to compete in a pageant. Being disappointed or sad about pushing off or losing an opportunity does not mean you are insensitive, superficial or selfish. You’re a human who has plans and goals that like, everyone else, has been effected greatly.

Lastly, I want to encourage you to press on. If we went back to our regular lives tomorrow, would you still be ready to walk on that stage? Please don’t stop working for a dream just because of our current circumstances. Keep practicing, continue walking, rehearsing, learning, growing. Keep going. You can take this day by day all the while preparing for your future.

You WILL get to speak with those judges, you will get to perform your talent, you will get to dominate that on stage question, you will get to shine on that stage.

But for now— allow yourselves to feel, process, and then press on.

The current titleholders are with you, we get you, we’re here for you and so proud of you sis ✨

and I spent this morning at Dogs & Donuts- an event put on by the Hillsboro Police Department. The community gets to meet, interact and watch demonstrations by the K9s and their handlers. Thank you HPD for taking your time with every guest, for being generous hosts and taking such great care of our community. We are so grateful for your dedication, sacrifice and hard work 🤍 @ Brookwood Library, Hillsboro, Oregon

Yesterday and I had the opportunity to ring for the Salvation Army in the Portland Metro area. This year there were 31 celebrity bell ringers and we broke a record of raising $2,050.84 in four hours! We had the best weather and the best company. It’s not too late to donate to a near you! @ Pioneer Courthouse Square

I was first introduced to Sparrow Clubs in high school. This non-profit is focused on encouraging kids to help kids & their families in the community who have medical needs. After high school I had the privilege of becoming the Portland photographer for — and easily it is hands down one of my favorite ways to spend my time. Meeting these kiddos, hearing their stories, seeing kids volunteer their time and money to support the families, the unity and intentionality in the community is something extremely special. Last year after my car accident, I had to step down BUT I’m excited to share that I am so excited to be back with the new group of 2020 Sparrows. If you want to learn about more or get involved with this non-profit, check out their IG or website. Compassion, kindness and service — there is no doubt it will impact your life. Thank you for ALL that you do and for letting me be a small part of it ✨ @ Portland, Oregon

For the past 10 weeks - three hours every Thursday night - I had the opportunity to attend the Beaverton Police 57th Citizens Academy.

We covered patrol procedures, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, use of force, TNT, fi****ms, TVF&R, CPR, school resource officers, volunteer opportunities, dispatchers, the PUPPIES and much more.

Whether you are interested in a career in public safety or you really just want to play with the K-9 cuties— this class is absolutely worth your time.

The Academy has done an incredible job of increasing understanding between the community and the department. Not only do they hope to create a partnership with the citizens to create a safer city but they truly do act on that philosophy.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to not only educate and connect with us but also for seeking out opportunities to work with us to make this city safe and secure. I am so grateful for the sacrifices you have made. The 58th Citizens Academy will be held NEXT fall. There is an application process but head to Beaverton Police website / Community Academy for more details. @ Beaverton Police Department
