The final leg of our year-end roadshow brought us to Canby, Oregon—a meaningful stop as we begin to close this chapter of visits across our district. It was a true delight to reconnect with fellow Rotarians, celebrate all we have accomplished together, and share the stories that remind us why we do what we do.

As this journey winds down, I find myself reflecting on the many conversations, the laughter, and the collective impact we have made in our communities. Grateful for every moment, every connection, and every opportunity to serve alongside such an inspiring group of people.

Last week’s Rotary roadshow took me to the Rotary Clubs of West Linn, Milwaukie, Oregon City, Gladstone/Oak Lodge, Clackamas Sunrise, and Clackamas.

Along the way, I had the opportunity to hear about impactful service projects, connect with dedicated Rotarians, and see firsthand how each club is strengthening its community. While every club has its own unique character, the commitment to Service Above Self was evident everywhere I went.

A special highlight was seeing the co-op branded Rotary snack vendor trailer in action, a great example of clubs working together to raise Rotary’s visibility while supporting community events. And no roadshow would be complete without a stop for Kona Ice, which was a welcome treat on a busy day of club visits.

Thank you to everyone for the warm hospitality, engaging conversations, and continued dedication to making a difference. The future of Rotary is bright because of members like you.

What a wonderful evening with Rotarians from five Portland area clubs. This year’s elephant theme brought plenty of energy and fun to the gathering while reminding us of the strength, wisdom, and teamwork that define Rotary at its best.

Portland has a proud Rotary tradition stretching back more than a century. Generations of Rotarians have dedicated themselves to service, leadership, and improving their communities, creating a legacy that continues to inspire today.

As District Governor, one of the greatest privileges of this role is visiting clubs across our district and seeing firsthand the impact Rotarians make every day. Bringing together members from five clubs in one room was a powerful reminder that while each club has its own history and character, we are united by a common commitment to Service Above Self.

Thank you to everyone who attended, helped organize the event, and continues to serve their communities with passion and purpose. I look forward to all that we will accomplish together in the year ahead.
