Beaverdam Ruritan Club Fellowship, Goodwill and Community Service Since 1951 The slogan of Ruritan is Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service.

Ruritan is a non-profit service organization with the purpose of creating a better understanding between people and, through volunteer community service, making America's communities a better place to live and work. Each Ruritan Club surveys the needs of its community and then works to meet those needs. Ruritans believe in the basic value of neighbors helping neighbors. The Beaverdam Ruritan Club sponsors the Beaverdam Youth League with 2 Baseball/Softball fields, stands and concessions. The Beaverdam 4th of July Parade is run by the Ruritans. In addition to monthly BINGO, the Ruritans host an annual Easter Sunrise Service - casual attire with donuts and coffee.
