Memorial Day Service Speaker Announced
The Beaver Lions Club is pleased to announce that Brandt Edler will be the featured speaker during the Memorial Day Service at the Beaver Union Cemetery, immediately following the parade, on May 26, 2025.
Edler grew up in the Beaver area & is a 2015 graduate of Eastern High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps & reported to Parris Island in South Carolina to begin his training.
He quickly rose through the ranks in his unit, Marine Air Control Squadron 2 (MACS-2)/MCALF Bogue Unit. The majority of his service was in the United States, spending some time with Southern Border Enforcement. When asked, Edler humbly said he did not particularly like to brag on his time in the Marines, but felt the faith his superiors had in him by giving him leadership roles by age 20 and his time on the border were highlights of his time in the service. Edler spent 5 years in the Marine Corps, and, in 2020, received a Medical Discharge under Honorable Conditions due to a spine injury, just in time for the birth of his son. Upon discharge, Edler had attained the rank of Sergeant E-5.
He currently works as a Project Manager for ESI Electrical in New Albany. He is married, with one son.
