We have many Friends of ROF Volunteer Days this September where you can help make Beaver County a greener place! 🌱💚

Every Tuesday we'll meet at the nursery in Brady's Run Park and start/collect/process seeds, transplant saplings, and more. 🍁

We have an exciting day of tree planting in our forest Patches in Brady's Run on September 30th that you won't want to miss. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers! Please register in advance on our website, ReforestOurFuture.org/Events. 🌟

We hope to see you there! All ages are welcome at our volunteer days. Feel free to bring a friend with you and stop by any time for the duration of our events.

Three Rivers Waterkeeper came out to the nursery last week and taught us how to look for aquatic macroinvertebrates (creatures without a backbone that are large enough to see with the naked eye). They brought nets and trays and explained to us that macros can teach us a lot about the water quality. Certain macros are sensitive to poor water quality and cannot thrive there.🪾

These aquatic organisms are vital to our ecosystems. They’re an important part of the food chain and they help break down decaying matter in our waterways. Thanks for all the work you do, macros! 🐌💚

We found crayfish, fresh water mussels, snails, worms, mayfly, damselfly, and so many more! After our creek excursion, the kids drew some of the macros they found. 🪱🐚

We have loved exploring with your family all summer long and we hope you’ll join us for our end of summer celebration. We’ll enjoy games, music, and food around the camp fire. 🪵🌟

This event is FREE and open to youths of all ages and their parents/guardians.
