The safety and well‑being of our patrons, exhibitors, and the animals remain a top priority for our Board of Directors and superintendents. While we recognize that not every situation can be anticipated or controlled, we are committed to doing everything within our ability to promote a safe environment for all. Every decision we make is approached with careful consideration and thorough discussion.
Following several situations observed during the 2025 fair, we have added or updated the following rules for the upcoming fair season to help ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone:
Exhibitor Age for Animal Exhibition:
In the interest of meeting safety and insurance requirements, these rules are established to aid in the protection of all exhibitors, volunteers, and spectators.
Youth ages 5–7 who are enrolled in dairy or beef projects are permitted to exhibit in female spring calf classes only. Also, exhibitors in this age group may not enter or show any intact male animals in any species, except within the rabbit department, where intact males are permitted.
Youth under age 5 are not allowed in the show arena during any animal exhibition activity, except when participating in rabbit classes.
Exhibitors must be in control of their animals at all times. It is recommended that any youth moving animals on the fairgrounds be supervised by an adult.
Personal Mobility Device Policy
To ensure the safety of all patrons, exhibitors, and animals, the following personal mobility devices are prohibited on the fairgrounds during fair hours, except where expressly permitted:
Bicycles
E-bikes
Scooters (kick, electric or gas-powered)
Skateboards, roller blades, inline skates
Hoverboards, Segways, Golf Carts, 4-wheelers, or similar motorized vehicles
Exceptions:
Mobility aides: (e.g.: wheelchairs, medically necessary scooters) are permitted
Devices used by authorized Fair Board members or staff for official duties
Bicycle Parking: Bicycles brought to the fairgounds must be parked and locked in the designated areas near the main entrance. The Beaver Community Fair is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to any bicycle or personal device.
Enforcement: Violators may be asked to remove the device from the grounds. Repeated violations may result in removal from the fair without refund.
Scratch/No-Show Policy
September 1 is the final date to scratch an animal entry. Any “no-show” animal must be accompanied by a veterinarian’s certificate stating the reason the animal is not being exhibited.
If a certificate is not provided, a $100 fee will be charged, and if appropriate, deducted from the exhibitor’s premium check.
Please reach out to a director if you have questions about these changes.
