🚣 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵? 🚣

The Beaver Island Currach Club has their boats at the public beach. Stop by this evening from 4:00 - 6:00PM and check 'em out. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗵. The club is hosting a workshop to learn about rowing technique that is unique to a Currach, the different roles on a Currach team, the rules of a Currach race, and much more!

Feel free to watch the demonstrations and if you decide you want to actually try some rowing with an experienced crew, it's only $25 for the entire weekend. If you decide you love it ( and you probably will), you can join the Beaver Island Currach Club and we'll apply your $25 toward the annual membership dues.

Join us for a 3-Day Currach Rowing Workshop with the 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, June 5–7, 2026!
Whether you're brand new to currach rowing or looking to sharpen your skills, this weekend workshop will cover the basics and beyond. Participants will learn 𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚, 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮, 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙪𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 while spending time on the water with fellow rowers.

We're honored to have veteran rower and boat builder, 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗸, 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝘁𝘀𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗵 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗥𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 leading this workshop.

The Beaver Island Irish American Hall of Fame will celebrate its 5th class with a formal induction ceremony at the 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗙𝗲́𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮. Nominations are accepted for individuals of Irish American descent, living or deceased, with substantial ties to Beaver Island who have made contributions in areas such as

☘️ Business and Industry
☘️ Arts and Entertainment
☘️ Religion
☘️ Education
