Now in existence for over 11 years, The Larry Bruno Foundation, a nonprofit organization with the support of Beaver Falls native, Joe Namath, continues to expand its Hall of Achievement and History Center located in Beaver Falls, PA.

Getting excited here. The plaques are in and we’re getting ready for our big weekend on September 11 and 12.
The Larry Bruno Foundation have been purchasing plaques from one of the premier plaque makers in the country, The Massillon Plaque Company of North Canton Ohio. The same maker that supplies the NFL Hall of Fame. As a matter of fact, the property that the HOF sits in Canton was donated to them by the owners of Massillon Plaque. It’s one of the small things that makes our organization our organization special.

We are awarding Bob Middleman our community award this year, a moment you don’t want to miss.
Our inductees are top shelf as usual and a wonderful night is expected.

It is with much sadness that LBF has learned of the passing of Dave Allen . Dave was a tireless volunteer for LBF the last fifteen years . His help and support has meant very much to us, and has been a loyal friend as well.
We certainly will miss Dave.

The Hall of Achievement has new hours effective September 1.
Mondays11-4. Wednesdays 11-4.
We will no longer be open on Saturdays due to staff restrictions.
Remember, anyone wishing to tour the museum outside of posted hours can call 724-732-6040 to book a free tour.
Anyone that is interested in volunteering is welcome to call as well. We need staff for museum.

LBF is so thrilled that BFHS Class of 71’ stopped by today to spend some time on their class reunion day. (55)
They donated a beautiful bench to the City and requested it be placed in front of our museum. We love it.

LBF was planning on raffling off a piece of Namath artwork until the mail arrived.
Joe Willie sent this beautiful Jet jersey to be raffled, so that’s what we’re going to do.
It’s no off the rack model, it’s an upscale model worth hundreds in its own right. However the man autographed it on both sides.
Joe does not sign much these days, which makes this item even more rare.
Only way to have an opportunity to own it is to attend our banquet on September 12 at Shadow Lakes.

Tune in WBVP radio (1230 am 95.3 fm) Tuesday morning to hear host Frank Sparks and guest, Steve Higgins of The Larry Bruno Foundation talk about the upcoming Circle of Achievement banquet at Shadow Lakes Country Club.

LBF is saddened to hear the loss of the heart and soul of the 69’ Fighting Tigers, Brian McCarl.
McCarl, a center on Coach Bruno’s third team to win a section title was a leader from the start. He was voted all section and in a decade of stars at BF, he was one of the top players at his position .
Brian’s accomplishments on the field, which were vast, does not compare what he meant to our community.
He, along with entire McCarl Family have been a consistent blessing for the entire area .
Brian was also a great softball coach as he coach The BeaverValley Express, a girls program based in South Beaver that was one of the top teams on the eastern part of the country. Won many ASA state titles and did well at Nationals.
Above all, he was a friend and hell of a good man.
Condolences to the entire McCarl Family.

Had a delightful visit from four members of BFHS class of 69’ today.
Joan Martin, Linda Mervis, Terry Krukowski,Donna McKee.
They are in town for a class reunion and decided to check us out. So glad they did.
