Ahhh! It’s our own Sam Haas!!! Way to go!

It was an exciting evening at The Prevention Network & CLASS Academy last night! If you have not already heard, our judges crowned our Mr. Beaver County 2026… Sam Haas from Beaver Falls HIgh School (Big Beaver Falls Area School District)! Congratulations to Sam, who is pictured to the right. In this tightly contested scholarship competition, our 1st runner up (2nd place) winner is Colton Blank from Freedom Area High School (Freedom Area School District). Colton is pictured to the left. Our 2nd runner up (3rd place) winner is Karter Morrison from New Brighton Area High School (New Brighton School-District). Karter is pictured in the center. Congratulations to our winners and to all six of our amazing contestants!

We look forward to sharing more photos and some entry pieces submitted by our contestants. Hey look! It’s the 2026 National School Choral Award recipient! 🎶

We are excited for you to meet Sam Haas, a creative and talented Senior at Beaver Falls High School (Big Beaver Falls Area School District). Sam just returned from the AGLOA (Academic Games League of America) National Championship with three gold trophies! He was awarded National Champion individually in Current Events - for the third time! He and his BFHS team also earned the title of National Champions in Current Events - as well as National Champions in Theme!

Sam serves as the Drum Major of the BFHS Marching Band, along with being a member of the Concert and Jazz Bands. Sam qualified twice to participate in PMEA Regional Chorus, and he has performed in the BFHS Musical during all four years of his high school career. Sam also competed in the Shakespeare Monologue Contest, earning an Honorable Mention in the 2025 contest - and he was a Finalist in 2026!

Sam is also an active member of the BFHS Cross Country team. He loves movies, listening to and playing music, and writing in his free time. He plans to attend Point Park University for filmmaking in the Fall. Sam’s Mr. Beaver County sponsor tells us - “I expect that he will be involved in cinematography in the future and be one of those individuals who creates movies leaving the audience to think about the message." She also shared that "Sam is Beaver Falls HS’s unicorn - he is that unique, creative, determined, and talented.”

All of us at The Prevention Network & CLASS Academy, Beaver County Behavioral Health (Beaver County System of Care (SOC)), Clearview Federal Credit Union and McDonald's wish Sam the best of luck in the Mr. Beaver County 2026 competition - and in the years ahead!

Congratulations to 10th graders, Pepper Collins & Avery Miller for being members of the 5th place finishing team in Jr. Division Propaganda! They each received medals for their achievement! Great job!

The All BFHS Senior division team of, Titus Austin, Will DeJeu, Lynndee Schriver, Sam Haas, & Sam Gibson are the 2026 Team Champions in World Events Theme! For the 1st time ever in BF History, Junior Lynndee Schriver led the team with a perfect score!!! Outstanding job!!!

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of James and the Giant Peach. A special shout out to our four Henry Mancini Award semi-finalist nominees!

These four will audition next week in a preliminary audition at Lincoln Park to select the six finalists. All final nominations will be announced in early May!

Congratulations to Sam Haas, Jordan Jesseman, Aubri Wright and Avery Miller who represented Beaver Falls this week at the PMEA District 5 Chorus Festival. The students made beautiful music for the past two days under the direction of Dr. Lisa Wong. Special shout out to senior Sam who placed 3rd in his section and will advance to the Region 1 Chorus Festival in February!
