At the Beaver Dam Professional Firefighters Charities, we believe serving our community goes beyond emergency response.

On a recent EMS call within the City of Beaver Dam, our crews encountered a resident who, due to mobility and other challenges, was unable to repair the tub surround in their bathroom, leaving their bathtub and shower inaccessible.

Wanting to help, Firefighter/Paramedic Connor Gehrig volunteered his own off-duty time to make the necessary repairs. While the project is not yet 100% complete, the bathroom is now fully functional and accessible once again.

We have said it before, and we will continue to say it, we value our community and its members. Whether it’s answering emergency calls, supporting local events, or lending a helping hand when it’s needed most, we are committed to making Beaver Dam a great place to call home.

Thank you, Connor, for exemplifying what it means to serve others both on and off duty.

🚒 🚒 Community Partnership Announcement 🚒🚒

Beaver Dam Professional Firefighters Charities is proud to partner with First Due Lawn Care , owned and operated by our own Firefighter/Paramedic Brennan Buschke.

Through this partnership, we’re working to provide lawn mowing and yard maintenance services to members of our service district who may need a helping hand.

This program is designed to support individuals in our community who are currently unable to maintain their lawns due to injury, physical limitations, or health-related challenges, as well as older residents who are wishing to remain in their homes but may find yard work increasingly difficult.

Each request will include a brief consultation so we can better understand individual needs and ensure this service reaches those it’s intended to support.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this program, please send us a message on Facebook or email us at [email protected] with the subject line “Yard Maintenance.”

🍀 Shamrocks for a Stronger Tomorrow🍀

Tonight our Fire Department Charitable Group had the opportunity to visit several of our amazing local business partners to drop off shamrocks as part of our partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

We’re proud to support kids and families affected by muscular dystrophy, and we’re even more proud to be part of a community that always steps up to help.

Did you know? For every $1 donated to MDA:
• $0.73 goes directly to research and finding cures
• $0.22 supports fundraising efforts
• $0.05 covers MDA organizational costs

That means the majority of your donation is directly fueling research, care, and hope for families who need it most.
If you see a shamrock displayed at one of our partner businesses, consider adding your name to one. Every dollar makes a difference.

Together, we are helping bring strength, support, and someday — a cure. 💪

These shamrocks can be found at:

Johnny’s Lounge
Morry’s
The Dam Tavern
Ooga
Stooges Sports Bar

Shamrocks will be collected on 3/23/26.

Beaver Dam Professional Firefighters Charities is proud to have partnered with Operation Warm to support students throughout the elementary schools of the Beaver Dam Unified School District.

Through this meaningful partnership, our organization was able to purchase 20 winter coats, which will be distributed by school district staff to students.

Initiatives like this reflect our continued commitment to supporting local families and ensuring children have the resources they need during the winter months.

We are sincerely grateful for our community partners and the strong relationships that allow us to give back in impactful ways. We look forward to continuing our charitable efforts in 2026.

From our members and their families to you and yours, we wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors - Our 2025 Projects

In 2025, our members came together to give back right here in Beaver Dam. By donating their time at Beaver Dam Athletic Field, they helped clean up the fields that serve as home for local youth baseball and softball programs.

We were also happy to support the Beaver Dam Ride Project, contributing toward improvements to the local skate park. A place that will bring kids, families, and friends together.

Additionally we were able to assist members of our community who were affected by fires or other emergencies throughout the year.

Thank you to everyone who pitched in, lent a hand, and supported these efforts. When neighbors show up for one another, our community is stronger for it.
