At the Beaver Dam Professional Firefighters Charities, we believe serving our community goes beyond emergency response.
On a recent EMS call within the City of Beaver Dam, our crews encountered a resident who, due to mobility and other challenges, was unable to repair the tub surround in their bathroom, leaving their bathtub and shower inaccessible.
Wanting to help, Firefighter/Paramedic Connor Gehrig volunteered his own off-duty time to make the necessary repairs. While the project is not yet 100% complete, the bathroom is now fully functional and accessible once again.
We have said it before, and we will continue to say it, we value our community and its members. Whether it’s answering emergency calls, supporting local events, or lending a helping hand when it’s needed most, we are committed to making Beaver Dam a great place to call home.
Thank you, Connor, for exemplifying what it means to serve others both on and off duty.
