EDGEWOOD HIGH SCHOOLERS…

We know it’s Homecoming Week. We know Powder Puff is happening. And let’s be honest… we know who’s winning the schedule battle this week. 😂

So instead of pretending otherwise, we’re hitting pause on our new series for one night.

Our leaders are going to be out supporting you at Powder Puff, and afterward we’ll have ICE CREAM SUNDAES waiting for you at church around 8:15 PM. Come hang, play some games, relax, and take a break from the craziness of Homecoming Week.

No lesson. No pressure. Just a fun night together.

And if you’ve got a friend you’ve been meaning to invite, this is the perfect week. Homecoming Week can be busy, but everyone has time for ice cream and a good hangout.

Middle School will continue as scheduled from 5:30–7:00 PM. Don’t worry, ice cream for you guys too!!

See you Wednesday!

Monday Motivation 📖

As we were reminded Wednesday night, prayer isn’t meant to be our last resort—it should be our first response. Before we worry, overthink, or try to handle everything on our own, we can take it to God.

Whatever this week brings, let’s make time to bring our worries, decisions, and requests before the Lord and trust Him with what we can’t control.

Start the week by putting prayer first. 🙏

Edgewood Students MDWK is back.

Tonight, our Middle School students talked about the question:

What is our only hope in life and in death?

They learned and were reminded that we are not our own, but belong body and soul, both in life and in death, to God and to our Savior Jesus Christ.

Our High School students walked through Philippians 4:6-7 and discovered a simple but powerful equation:

Giving Thanks + Going to God in Prayer with Our Worries = Peace that defies science

Not just any peace, but the peace of God that surpasses all understanding and guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

The night ended with students gathering in groups and covering the upcoming school year in prayer.

A new year of Edgewood Students has begun and our message is still the same: The Gospel First & Always.

Monday Motivation 🙌

A new week means new opportunities to reflect Jesus. Not just in the big moments, but in the everyday ones. You don’t have to do something huge to make a difference. Ask God to help you see the opportunities He puts in front of you and give you the courage to step into them.

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” — Colossians 3:17 (ESV)

This week, look for opportunities to encourage someone, include someone, and reflect Jesus. 🙏
