🌊 WAVE WATCH! 🌊
Something new is making waves on Beaver Dam Lake!
Did you know Beaver Dam Lake is one of only 12 inland lakes in Wisconsin selected for a brand-new National Weather Service pilot program? 👀

The National Weather Service is experimenting with an Inland Lake Wave Forecast designed to give boaters a better idea of what conditions may look like out on the water—including expected wave conditions. 🚤🌊

Before you head out for a day of boating, fishing, cruising or just enjoying the lake, you can now CHECK THE WAVES!

And if you're curious about how this new pilot program works:

One of just 12 Wisconsin lakes helping the National Weather Service test a new way to forecast inland lake waves. Pretty cool, Beaver Dam Lake! 🌊💙
Take a look—you might be surprised by what the forecast says! 👀

Beaver Dam Lake District Commissioner Needed
The Beaver Dam Lake Improvement Association (BDLIA) is supporting the Beaver Dam Lake District (BDLD) in its search for a commissioner to serve on the five-member Lake District Board. One current commissioner has chosen not to seek reelection. Of the five commissioners, three must serve as officers: Secretary, Treasurer, or Chairman. Openings are expected for the Secretary and Chairman positions.

If you are interested or would like more information about the commissioner position, please contact Mike Zimmer at [email protected].

💧 **Fountains with a Purpose!** 💧
You may have noticed new fountains placed on Beaver Dam Lake by
some homeowners. These fountains are more than just a beautiful
addition to the shoreline—it also helps improve water circulation and
adds oxygen to the surrounding water.

Aeration creates healthier conditions for fish and other aquatic life
while helping reduce stagnant areas where nuisance algae can
develop. Although a fountain isn't a solution for lake-wide algae
blooms, it is an important part of a comprehensive approach to
improving water quality.

Every step taken —whether it's installing aeration, reducing nutrient
runoff, or educating our community—helps protect the lake we all
enjoy.

Please consider adding a fountain around your shoreline or pier.
Everything we can do to improve water quality will help. Reach out to
us if you need help getting started.

💙 Thank you for supporting the Beaver Dam Lake Improvement
Association as we continue working to preserve and protect our
beautiful lake
