Big Tech’s day of reckoning is here! Meta has agreed to a historic $17.1 billion settlement over allegations that it intentionally designed its platforms to addict and harm children. And this isn’t just about the money, the settlement requires major changes to make Meta’s platforms safer for kids. From stronger age assurance to limits on addictive features, screen time, and parental oversight, these changes could have a real impact on children’s online safety. Read our breakdown of this major victory and what it means for the future of Big Tech, link below. 👇

Safety Sunday 🧠

As summer wraps up, you may be thinking a little more about digital safety.

And if you aren't, maybe you should be?

Kids don’t always have the words to explain when something feels wrong, but their bodies may give them clues.

A racing heart. Sweaty palms. Shaky legs. An upset stomach. The sudden urge to cry.

Helping children recognize these signals can open the door to important conversations about safety and reinforce what to do next: “If I feel unsafe, I will tell a trusted adult right away.”

Practice identifying trusted adults together. When children know who they can turn to, they’re better prepared to speak up and seek help when something doesn’t feel right.

Post inspired by Safety Network.
