United Way of Dodge County Partners with Moraine Park Technical College to Distribute Hygiene Kits to Local Nonprofits

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. — In a collaborative effort to support individuals and families in need, United Way of Dodge County recently partnered with Moraine Park Technical College to assemble and distribute hygiene kits to nonprofit organizations throughout the county.

The initiative brought together students, faculty, and community volunteers to address a basic but critical need often overlooked—access to essential personal care items. The hygiene kits, which include items such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and other daily necessities, were distributed to a variety of local nonprofits serving residents facing financial hardship.

Leaders from United Way of Dodge County emphasized the importance of partnerships like this in strengthening the community safety net.

“Access to hygiene products is something many of us take for granted, but for some families in Dodge County, it can be a real challenge,” said Tammy Appel from United Way of Dodge County. “By working together with Moraine Park Technical College, we’re able to make a meaningful impact and support the dignity and well-being of our neighbors.”

The hygiene kits were distributed to several nonprofit organizations across Dodge County, ensuring they reach individuals and families who need them most. Local agencies expressed appreciation for the additional resources, noting that such items are consistently in high demand.

This collaboration highlights the power of community partnerships in addressing local needs and demonstrates how organizations can come together to create positive, lasting change. College officials noted that the partnership aligns with their mission to foster both education and community involvement.

United Way of Dodge County continues to seek opportunities to support local nonprofits and improve lives across the region, reinforcing its commitment to building a stronger, healthier Dodge County for all.
