The City of Beaver Dam has committed $200,000 in ARPA funds and local volunteers hope to match and exceed those funds to upgrade the current Athletic Field pickleball courts into a top-notch outdoor regional pickleball facility to host tournaments, community gatherings, corporate events, and intergenerational family outings. The current pickleball courts are at their end of life and inadequate for current demand.

To give a gift online, visit the BDACF Online Donation Page at beaverdamacf.com and use the Become a Donor link or scan the QR code below and follow the instructions. When prompted for the name of the fund to receive the proceeds, write: Beaver Dam Pickleball Fund.

It’s time for your weekend paddle report! Lake level is high at 9.1 due to all the rain. 4 gates are open and flow rate is at 613 cfs. Do not attempt to run the river at this rate, it’s extremely dangerous. The heavy rain has done a great job at beating down the algae on the lake. The water is much clearer then last weekend. Water temp is at 76 degrees. Near perfect conditions here in beautiful Beaver Dam. Take advantage of the free kayak launch at Waterworks Park and if you need a boat or paddle board, they are available to rent. Enjoy!

It’s time for your weekend paddle report! The heavy rain earlier in the week has had an impact on lake conditions. Lake level is at 88.7 inches as measured by the dam and dropping. Due to the rain 3 gates are open on the dam and flow rate is remains high at 547 cfs. This is not a safe rate to enjoy our beautiful river. Use caution even when fishing on it’s banks. Earlier in the week, a significant amount of algae was forming on the lake, but now it seems to be on the decline due to the rain. Hopefully this trend continues. Just another great weekend here in Beaver Dam. Enjoy!

It’s time for your weekend paddle report! Current lake level is down this week and is at 88.5 inches as measured by the dam. Currently there is only one gate open and flow rate is at 126 cfs. This is a very kayakable flow rate but I have been told there were 2 trees down and were a problem at last weekend’s high flow rate of 430. They may not pose a problem at this rate but use caution. Water temp jumped 10 degrees this week to 74 degrees. Summer is Back!!! Slight up tick in algae with the warmer water temp, but nothing too serious. Have a great weekend! Enjoy!

It’s time for your weekend paddle report! Current lake level is a little high at 88.7 inches as measured by the dam. Because of this there are 3 gates open on the dam and has a flow rate of 430 cfs. If you are planning on hitting the river this weekend, this flow rate is for well prepared advanced kayakers l. Use caution I don’t have any info on blockages or strainers we have not run the river yet this year. Water temp is not too bad at a refreshing 64 degrees. Water clarity is good. No major algae to speak of. Just a great weekend to be on the water. Enjoy! Don’t forget to get to grab one of our high visibility shirts for 25$ at Annabelle's Ice Cream Parlor . 301 Front St. Beaver Dam

Details here: https://fb.me/e/2ehXhFxtk Meeting up at Annabelle‘s Ice Cream Parlor at 301 Front St. at 9 AM for a group paddle. Shuttle service will be available. I have heard reports of small patches of algae on the lake, but yet again nothing too serious. Currently temperature is at 78.5 degrees.
