Need met! Anything extra will go straight to grandma for snacks and extra gas!

Update: we have $150

We have had so many requests come in, and unfortunately, at this time we are having to limit assistance to individuals 55 and older. We truly wish we could help everyone. ❤️

But we have one REALLY BIG need tonight, and this one has weighed heavily on my heart.

A grandmother recently took in 3 of her grandchildren who came from another state with basically just the clothes on their backs. We were able to help with clothes, shoes, and groceries, but now she needs help getting her power bill paid and gas in her vehicle to get these babies to several upcoming appointments.

I’ve called several of our sponsors, and unfortunately, they just don’t have the extra funds right now — so I’m asking our community to help us make this happen.

Our goal is $275. That will take care of the power bill and leave her with a little over $50 for gas. The bill was due yesterday.

I think we are good on clothes. I’m going to start scheduling drop off. We do still need shoes. She’s an 8.5/9. The sister is the same shoe size and right now together they have 3 pairs of shoes.

We had a local high school teacher reach out regarding a student who is in need of a little extra love and support.

This young lady is in need of clothing and hygiene products. We were told she has been wearing the same two pairs of jeans to school since school started. Unfortunately, kids can be mean, and comments have already been made to her. 💔

It is our understanding that her older sister is currently raising her—and honestly, some of us may consider her older sister a child herself. She is doing the best she can, and we would love to take a little weight off her shoulders while also giving this student some things she needs and deserves.

Her current needs are:

👖 Size 4 jeans
👕 Medium shirts
🩷 Medium sports bras
🩲 Medium panties
👟 size 8.5
🧴 Hygiene products — shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, feminine products, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.

We would LOVE to collect physical items! I do want to ask everyone to please be patient with me when it comes to coordinating. I simply do not have the time right now to drive around picking up and dropping off donations. We can absolutely schedule drop-offs, but please give me a little grace while we coordinate everything. ❤️

Another easy option would be helping us provide her with a Plato’s Closet gift card, which would allow her to pick out clothing she actually likes and feels confident wearing. Even a small donation can add up quickly!

Most importantly, we want to handle this with as much privacy, dignity, and compassion as possible. High school is hard enough without worrying about whether you have clean clothes to wear or the basic things you need.

Let’s remind this young lady—and her sister—that they have a community standing behind them. 🫶❤️

💙 IT’S OUR TIME TO GIVE BACK 💙

We have a mama who reached out for help, and I would really love to see our community come together for this family.

Her husband is a police officer and recently changed police stations. Because of the transition, he went 3 weeks without receiving a paycheck. He gets paid next Thursday, but unfortunately, their water bill can’t wait that long.

They need $223 toward the past-due balance to prevent their water from being disconnected next week.

Our law enforcement officers spend their days serving and protecting our communities. This time, I think it’s our turn to give back and help one of their families. 💙

If 23 people gave $10, we could take this worry completely off their shoulders. Any amount helps!

I apologize for posting so much lately. ❤️ We have had so many needs come our way, and I truly hate to keep asking—but when a mama reaches out needing help, especially when it involves a sick little one, it’s hard not to try. 🥺

We have a mama who is traveling to UAB today with her sick child. She is asking for help with any travel expenses—gas, food while they’re there, or anything that could make today a little easier. On top of everything she is dealing with, she is also $71 short on her power bill.

Having a sick child is stressful enough all by itself. Worrying about gas, food, and whether your power bill is going to be paid is a burden no mama should have to carry while trying to focus on her baby.

If anyone would like to help us bless this mama today, even $5 or $10 adds up and would mean more than you know. ❤️

❤️ COMMUNITY, WE HAVE A MAMA WHO COULD REALLY USE US RIGHT NOW. ❤️

This sweet mama reached out, and I know it wasn’t easy for her to ask for help. She is a widow, works full time, is raising a teenager, and is also helping care for her mother who is beginning to experience dementia. Because of some family circumstances, she has had to miss quite a bit of work and has fallen behind.

She has paid everything she possibly can this month and thankfully was able to push some of her other bills back. Right now, she is simply trying to put food on the table until she gets paid Friday. She makes too much to qualify for food assistance and is even looking for a second job to help make ends meet.

What really touched me is that she is gluten-free due to an allergy, but told us she wasn’t worried about herself—she just wanted to make sure her daughter and her mama had enough to eat. 🥺

Well, I want to make sure Mama gets to eat too. ❤️ I would LOVE for us to bless her with a grocery gift card so she can purchase food for her family and some gluten-free foods for herself.

We KNOW this community can come through. Y’all have shown time and time again what can happen when a bunch of people give just a little. $5, $10, $20—it all adds up. 🙏🏼

Update: we need $92 more to keep her power on 💕

TWO BIG NEEDS — PLEASE READ & SHARE ❤️

We have two needs on our hearts today, and we’re praying our little community can come together once again. 🥺

1. A hardworking mama in Beauregard needs FOOD — as soon as today.
She is raising 4 older children and working TWO jobs trying to keep everything afloat. She does not receive food stamps, and right now groceries are a huge need for her family.

We would love to collect enough to place a Walmart grocery delivery order today, or if someone would rather purchase groceries and drop them off directly, we can help coordinate that as well. Even $5 or $10 adds up when several people come together. ❤️

2. An elderly woman is facing a power shutoff TOMORROW.

We know we have had to turn down several requests for help with power bills recently, but this situation really pulled at our hearts.

This sweet lady actually volunteered with us last year, helping us serve others when she was able. Unfortunately, her health has declined severely over the last six months, and she is no longer able to work. She is now two months behind on her power bill and needs $321 to keep her electricity on.

Someone who once gave her time to help us bless others is now the one who needs a little help, and we are praying we can return that kindness. ❤️

I also want to sincerely apologize to everyone we have had to turn down recently. Please know that saying “we can’t help” is never easy. We are simply overwhelmed with requests, and unfortunately, we do not have the funds or resources to meet every need that comes to us. We truly wish we could help everyone.

💕 WE HAVE AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY TO BLESS 5 FAMILIES! 💕

We have had 5 people reach out to us desperately needing window units—3 elderly individuals and 2 families who could truly use some help. 🥺💗

We have been blessed to find a place willing to get us 5 window units for just $115 each—and these units have BOTH HEATING & AIR! 🙌🏼❄️🔥 That means we’re not only helping them get through this Alabama heat, but they’ll also have a source of warmth when the colder months arrive.

I know raising $115 for each unit may sound like a lot, but for a unit that provides both heat and air, this is truly an incredible deal and could be such a blessing to these five households.

💕 TWO BIG NEEDS — PLEASE SHARE 💕

Harper’s Hand has two families who could really use some love from our community right now. 🫶🏼

1. An elderly female had her main window A/C unit go out, and with this Alabama heat, she is in desperate need of fans of any kind to help keep her cool. She does not drive, so we are happy to collect and deliver anything donated. ❤️

2. A single mama of SIX is really going through it right now. She works in healthcare but is currently sick and unable to work. She has six children, including infant twins, and could really benefit from some basic household necessities:
• Toilet paper
• Paper towels
• Laundry detergent
• Shampoo, conditioner & body wash
• Diapers/wipes
• Cleaning supplies
• Any other basic household or hygiene items

Even the smallest donation can take one thing off of this mama’s plate. 🥺💕 Sometimes toilet paper, detergent, or a simple fan may not seem like much, but to someone struggling, it can mean everything.

We can collect physical donations or collect funds and shop for the items needed.
