Twenty-five years ago today, our nation witnessed unimaginable loss, but also extraordinary courage. We honor the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, along with all the first responders and innocent lives taken that day.

Their bravery in the face of unthinkable danger is a reminder of the strength and resilience that define our calling. As we reflect together, we hold close the memory of those we lost and the families forever changed by that day.

From all of us at Local 399, we thank you for standing with us in remembrance. Let us never forget their heroism, and may we continue to honor their legacy.

Today, we honor the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices of all working men and women, especially our brave firefighters and medics who serve and protect our community every day. Labor Day is a reminder of the progress made by labor movements and the ongoing commitment to fair treatment, safety, and solidarity for all workers.
