This morning we received a message that truly touched our hearts. 💔🤍

Seven years ago, Alyson and her fiancé adopted their sweet Lilah from one of our adoption events at Petco in Beaumont. Last week, they had to say goodbye to their beautiful girl.

Our hearts go out to their family during this incredibly hard time. Losing a beloved pet is never easy, and we send all our love and deepest sympathies as they grieve the loss of a dog who clearly meant the world to them.

Stories like Lilah’s are why we do what we do. Knowing she spent her life traveling, making memories, helping children overcome their fear of dogs, and bringing joy everywhere she went is more than we could ever hope for. We are so honored to have played even a small part in bringing that kind of love into their lives.

Thank you, Alyson, for sharing Lilah’s story with us. It means everything to know that she was so deeply loved and that her life was filled with adventure, purpose, and unconditional love.

Run free, sweet Lilah. You were one of a kind, and you will never be forgotten. 🌈🐾

💔 An Important Update from Our Rescue Family 💔

Our remaining bill at Dowlen Rd Vet is $758.08 and $2000 at All Paws Vet Clinic. If anyone is able to help us close this out, we would be so grateful. You can directly make a donation to each clinic in Tammy's name under the PAWS Beaumont account. Dowlen Rd Vets number is 409-860-4386, and All Paws Vet at 409-838-2510.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share this news… our rescue is dealing with major decisions in the near future. With the passing of our very loved and deeply dedicated president, Tammy Smith, we are having to face one of the most difficult and emotional decisions we’ve ever had to make. After much thought, we all feel it is best to move on in this chapter in a way that honors Tammy’s incredible legacy.

Tammy poured her heart and soul into saving animals, and we will carry her passion with us always.

We still have three wonderful dogs looking for their forever homes — Bluey, Vinny, and Princess — and we are committed to finding them the loving families they deserve. However, we will no longer be taking in any more dogs or cats until further notice.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love, support, and encouragement over the years. This is not the end of the impact Tammy made — her love for animals will live on in every single life she touched. 🐾❤️

I'm a 1 ½-year-old pit mix with a heart full of love and a story that’s just getting started. Life hasn’t always been easy for me, but I’ve come so far thanks to my amazing foster family—and now I’m ready for a forever home to call my own.

✨ I’m house trained & kennel trained
✨ I love snuggling on the couch (or bed!)
✨ I walk great on a leash
✨ I know how to sit and take treats like a gentleman
✨ I get along well with other dogs and will match their energy

Hi! I'm Bluey. I'm a 1 1/2yr old pit mix.
I would love to be a part of your family. I love to snuggle on the couch or bed. I am house trained and kennel trained. I can sit and gently accept treats. I love to go for walks!
