🏌️♀️🎉 Babe Zaharias Day Proclaimed in Beaumont! 🎉🏌️♀️
On June 2, 2026, the City of Beaumont officially proclaimed June 26 as “Babe Zaharias Day” in honor of the extraordinary legacy of Beaumont native and sports icon Babe Didrikson Zaharias.
Representing the Babe Zaharias Foundation, Hester Bell and Paula Bothe proudly accepted the proclamation on behalf of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
June 26 marks what would have been Babe’s 115th birthday, and the City will celebrate her life and accomplishments with a special screening of Babe: The Babe Zaharias Story.
More than six decades after her passing, Babe’s impact on sports, perseverance, and excellence continues to inspire generations. We are honored to help preserve her legacy and share her remarkable story with our community.
