Mardi Gras Southeast Texas Beaumont - A non-profit volunteer organization Feb. 4,5,6 2027 In April 1990, a casual conversation between two friends launched Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas. Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas, Inc.

After nearly three years of planning and joined by 18 community minded non-profit organizations, the highly successful first event was held in Downtown Port Arthur in February 1993. It is hailed by many as the catalyst that began a resurgence of downtown Port Arthur. The purposes envisioned by the founders were to benefit the member non-profit groups, to stage a family oriented affair, to promote

interaction among diverse ethnic groups, to promote racial harmony and to serve as an economic development project for Southeast Texas. received its non-profit Charter from the State of Texas on February 18, 1992 and the non-profit status was then confirmed by the Internal Revenue Service.

Treasure Found!!! Team Katamaran found this year's treasure in the back of the parking lot on Crockett Street behind the clock, on the green wall, under the second flag (stars) to the right. It was a green container magnetized up on the wall tied off with a fishing string that you had to pull down.

Out of abundance of caution for the safety of treasure hunters, we are making the decision to delay tonight's final treasure hunt clue from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.. due to the possibility of high winds and lightning, we feel it is in the best interest to give the weather a chance to move through before moving forward. We hope everyone understands we are certainly ready to see everyone out tonight but we have to put safety first. We thank you for your patience. Stay safe

Due to inclement weather approaching around 7:30 pm in the interest of safety we are adjusting concert times as follows:

Kaitlyn Koehler - 5:30pm
John Foster - 6:30pm
As for the parade the plan Is set to roll at 6 pm. We thank you for your support and wish Mother Nature had not had other plans!! Mardi Gras Southeast Texas will return in full force for Sunday activities 💜💚💛
