This weekend, I lost one of my volunteers, Tanya, at work. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts, as she was not only a dear friend, but faithful servant of 5 years to our mission at the Reaud Guest House. I looked forward to Wednesday afternoons where I could count on her to comfort our guests and families, lend great advice as a mom, and talk about everything going on in our lives. We also shared a love of treats and would surprise each other each week with something 🧁 She knew all the funny stories about my kids and treated them like her own family. I looked forward our dinners with the other volunteers every other month so we could socialize outside of the office- she always would pick the place and steer our group to a new spot she wanted to try. I’m really going to miss her. 💙

Tanya, your commitment to our cause and your altruistic assistance have been crucial in enabling us to serve the community. Numerous lives have been impacted by your dedication, kindness, and positive heart, which has also had a big impact on the people we serve.💙

Today, we had the pleasure of hosting the Healthcare Network Association January Membership Meeting 💙 They presented a scholarship to Hayden, who is pursuing a nursing degree at SFA.
We heard from GayLynne Jones, Director of the Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Cancer Network, who will open their doors to treating patients this month! We are so excited to have them as our new neighbors and serve their patients offering low cost accommodations while in treatment or before appointments💙
Thank you to Chef Cathy and her team at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas for once again serving the most delicious meal to members 💙

We’re pretty sure it wasn't scouting for a touchdown. Just looking at our beautiful medical campus and new construction of the Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Cancer Network 💙💙
