TREES GONE. The last remaining original Carnegie library in Riverside County, and one of the earliest major buildings in Beaumont, is undergoing a major expansion. The plan recently was downsized due to costs, according to library officials. They say that’s why they chopped down the iconic library trees that have grown up with generations of library-goers. The giant oak is gone.
Learn more about the expansion project for the more than 100-year-old Beaumont library here: https://mybldproject.org/
Please share your photos and memories of the trees with us in the comments. We now need your help to at least save the history.

Welcome to City Watch!

Greetings and welcome to City Watch! Here we discuss local news and occurrences including political issues. We post about our lost pets, crime, events, and whatever else local. Since this is a local group, as part of our highly sophisticated vetting process, you'll be required to shout out your closest major cross streets to "Prove" you're a local. Do not give your address! (Duh!) Don't forget to read our rules and announcements and invite your local friends. The Group Motto "See Something Say Something" was adopted after the 2015 terrorist attack in San Bernardino after it was discovered that it might have been prevented had the neighbors not been afraid of racial criticism for reporting suspicious activity. Thanks for joining City Watch - Enjoy!
