CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) was implemented and is maintained under the leadership of the City of Beaumont, Police Department, Office of Emergency Services. CERT is the federally and nationally recognized name for progressively minded community volunteers. Participants are educated about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area. Professional instructors train participants in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster first aid operations.
