According to Mary Phillips, chair of the Beaufort Community Foundation (BCF), the plan would include the installation of a brick promenade, two picnic tables and five benches as well as new planters and signage.
The nonprofit BCF was founded in 2025 with a goal of supporting future enhancements of Beaufort’s waterfront, green spaces, docks and parks. Eury said the BCF Board has approved a budget of up to $50,000 to invest in Eury Park for the project as a "gift to the parks system of Beaufort” and will not be asking the town for funding.
