Richland County SC became the first county in South Carolina’s Midlands to vote for a ban on plastic bags Tuesday. The county council says the bags are a danger to the environment and support reusable or recyclable bags.

Please call and/or email your SC state Representative right now and tell her/him to sustain the Governor’s veto to H.3700! The last minute sea wall amendment to this bill is something we’ve always opposed and was done in bad faith after an original agreement on the bill.

Stand tall. Protect Home Rule. Oppose S.394.

Let’s be honest. The General Assembly likes power and doesn’t want to share. While South Carolina has a Home Rule law, many in the General Assembly do not like it.

Tell your SC State House lawmakers to support H.3659/S.332!

It’s time to pass SC state legislation H.3659/S.332 by Rep. Peter McCoy, Sen. Tom Davis and many other bi-partisan state legislators. These vital bills do away with the arbitrary net metering cap holding back a solar explosion in SC, and they stop ratepayer fleecing by Big Utilities’ subsidized lost-revenue recovery in a short period of time.
